Enjoy making lots of happy family memories in San Pedro de Alcantara. There are so many things for children of all ages to enjoy along the Costa del Sol. And in my experience, happy children make for happy parents!
Build sandcastles on the beach, paddle in the sea or enjoy an ice cream it two. Linda Vista and San Pedro Beaches are a few minutes walk away from Villa Guadalain. There is plenty of space to sit and enjoy the sunshine and let the children play. Take a picnic or have lunch at one of the many cafes and chiringuitos on the beach or along the paseo maritimo. There are lots of inexpensive places to eat. For information on beaches and restaurants nearby see our list of Top 10 Things to Do.
Children and adults alike will love San Pedro’s Boulevard. Fun outdoor playgrounds, walkways, cycle paths, cafes, bike hire, and so much more. There is a zip line and plenty of places for skateboard fans.
The Wakeboard Centre Marbella is ideal for older children. Our family has spent many hours at this cable ski water park. More for ages 10 and up it is a well-run business which the children all love. They are provided with all the equipment including life vests and can kneeboard, wakeboard and water-ski. It also has a cafe and picnic area for parents to watch the fun or have a go themselves!
Kite Surfing in Tarifa. About an hour’s drive down the coast this windy beach is one of the best places to kitesurf in the world. Very popular with teenagers and older children!
There are also theme parks, water parks, horse riding and other family-friendly entertainment nearby.
